Plainfield October Events
- Wine and Paint Night: Wednesday, October 2nd from 6:30-10 pm at Wine & Cheese by TCC in Plainfield. Join Dottie’s Art Studio and sip on some delicious wine while you paint a fall themed outdoor patio light. The cost is $35 and this includes all of the supplies needed and instructions. - StoryWalk Grand Opening Celebration: Saturday, October 5th at 9:30 am at Settler’s Park. Settler’s Park will now be the Plainfield Public Library District’s new StoryWalk. Take a walk in the park and check out all there is to see!
- Autumn Family Fun Fest: Saturday, October 5th at 1 pm at the Eaton Preserve in Plainfield. This fun event will include prairie mazes, hayrides, inflatables, games, crafts, and more! This is for kids ages 2 and up with an adult. The cost is $12 for residents and $15 for non-residents. Adults are $3 for residents and $4 for non-residents. - Plainfield Fire Prevention Week Open House: October 12th from 11 am until 2 pm at the fire house located at 23806 W 135th Street in Plainfield. This open house is free to attend and will feature exhibits, kids fire fighter challenges, demonstrations and more. If you would like more information, call (815) 436-5335.
- Haunted Hayrides: Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th from 5-10 pm at Eaton Preserve Park in Plainfield. Enjoy a spooky hayride though the park if you dare! For kids ages 2 and up with a responsible adult. The cost is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents. Visit the Plainfield Park District website to register or register on site the day of for $15.
- Holiday Craft Expo: Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th from 3-7 pm at 16108 Hometown Drive Suite 200 in Plainfield. This is your chance to shop for crafts and decor items for the holiday season!
