Local Plainfield Events
- 2nd Annual Brews and BBQ Event: Thursday, August 22nd from 5-9 pm at Garage Band Brewing. This venue is located at 15025 S Des Plaines Street #1b in Plainfield. All of the proceeds from this event go to the PACC Career Readiness Scholarship Fund.
- YMCA Volunteer Event: The C.W. Avery Family YMCA is hosting a volunteer day of service on Friday, August 23rd from 9 am until noon. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. For more information, you can call (815) 782-0502. If you have volunteer hours needed, this would be a great opportunity to get those hours in as well as help your local community.
- Above and Beyond Networkers: This event is for local entrepreneurs to get together to achieve personal development, business advancement, etc. This will take place on Wednesday, August 21st from 7:45 am until 9 am at Larry’s Diner in Plainfield.
- Midsummer Dreams at the Farmhouse: On Saturday, August 24th from 7-10 pm the Farmhouse in Plainfield will host a multi course tasting under the stars with a farm to fork theme. - Plainfield Farmer’s Market: Sunday, August 25th from 12-4 pm at the Plainfield Public Library parking lot located at 15025 S Illinois Street.
- Wine & Artisan Cheese Tasting: Saturday, August 24th from 6-9 pm at Wine & Cheese by TCC. They are located at 24104 W Lockport Street in Plainfield. This fun event will allow you to taste delicious wine and cheese and get tips on how to create your own great pairings.
