Plainfield Fall Activities 2018

There are so many Plainfield fall activities coming up! There is something fun for the whole family including a 5K, Homecoming, Spooktacular, and more!

Fall Family Activities

  • How-To-Fair: Saturday, September 22nd from 9:30 am until 1 pm in downtown Plainfield. This free event features workshops sponsored by the Village of Plainfield, the Plainfield Public Library and the Plainfield Park District.
  • Fire Prevention Week Open House: Fire safety is so important, and this event is designed to educate your kids on this important topic. Saturday, September 29th from 11 am until 2 pm at Plainfield Fire Station #2 located at 23806 W 135th Street. This fun and informative annual event will feature demonstrations, exhibits, a children’s firefighter challenge and more! If you would like more information, call (815) 436-5335.
  • Harvest 5K and Kidz Miler:  Do you and your kids enjoy being active? If so, this event is perfect! Sunday, September 30th beginning at 8 am in downtown Plainfield. This fun family annual event will include a run/walk 5K and a kid’s mile race. For more information, call the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce at (815) 436-4431.
  • Homecoming Parade: Saturday, October 6th at 9 am in downtown Plainfield. For more information about the parade, call Chari at (815) 436-3200 x 815806.

More Fall Activities

  • Coffee With The Mayor: Wednesday, October 10th at 9 am at Village Hall located at 24401 W Lockport Street
  • Triad Program: Fire Safety: Monday, October 22nd at 10:30 am at American House Cedarlake located at 14804 S Van Dyke Road in Plainfield. For more information about this event, call Erin Cook at (815) 267-7207.
  • Chat With The Chiefs: Check out this event on Friday, October 26th from 8 to 9 am at the Starbucks located at 12640 IL-59 Unit #600 in Plainfield. During this event, attendees will be able to chat with local chiefs from Plainfield and Oswsego.
  • Spooktacular: Does your family love Halloween? If so, check this out! Saturday, October 27th in downtown Plainfield. If you haven’t attended before, put this on your calendar! More information can be received by contacting the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce at (815) 436-4431.
  • Trick-Or-Treating: Finally, the day that kids are waiting for, Plainfield Trick-or-Treating hours are from 4 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, October 31st.
  • Coffee With The Mayor: Wednesday, November 14th at 9 am at Village Hall.
  • Candlelight Christmas: This fun event will happen on Saturday, November 24th in downtown Plainfield. If you would like more information, call the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce at (815) 436-4431.
  • Triad Program: Crime Prevention: Another Triad program event is scheduled for Monday, November 26th at 10:30 am at American House Cedarlake. This important event will provide participants with important tips on preventing crime. If you need more information about this upcoming event, call Erin Cook at (815) 267-7207.

As you can see, there really is something coming up for everyone in the family. Plainfield has so many fun events planned, be sure to try and check out at least one of them!
