From an evening with the beautiful game to the Father’s Day carnival, you can’t miss this weekend’s fun Events! Check out the Soccer and Carnival weekend:
Chicago Red Stars vs. Washington Spirit – Soccer
First up, we have some evening soccer with a special twist! Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of slaves in the United States. To commemorate this occasion, the Chicago Red Stars professional women’s soccer club are hosting this match filled with celebratory festivities both for this holiday and Pride Month; these include a special tye-dyeing event at the pregame tailgate, pregame expo featuring Black-owned and Black-focused businesses and nonprofits, live entertainment, and more! All attendees are welcome and encouraged to participate in these activities. Tickets start at just $12!
Father’s Day Weekend Carnival
Next, Oswego is hosting a fantastic event: the Weekend Carnival. Located at 4120 Plainfield Road (Prairie Point Community Park), this carnival is a great way to take dad out and have a great time on his special day. Unlimited ride passes are only $25 on Sunday, and you can take part from 1-6pm. The event is cash-only, but an ATM is available on site for your needs. This is the first summer carnival in Oswego this year, and the next Carnival won’t be coming until later this year when we enter September. Don’t miss out!
