There are many summer events for active adults coming up in Plainfield such as an ice cream social, a picnic and many more!
Plainfield Park District Summer Events for Active Adults
- If you enjoy getting active, check out the daily fitness classes that will be held at the Plainfield Township Community Center. The community center is located at 15014 S Des Plaines Street in Plainfield. (815) 267-3350.
- Hawaiian style picnic on June 26th at 12 pm at the Plainfield Township Community Center. This event includes entertainment, food, and lot’s of fun activities. If you are interested in attending, the registration and payment deadline is June 10th. This event is for those ages 50 and up and the cost is $8 for residents and $10 for non-residents.
- Under the Indoor Stars evening concert is happening on July 30th at 7 pm at the PTCC. The Chorus of DuPage will be putting on an indoor concert and popcorn and drinks can be purchased for you to enjoy throughout the show. You can bring the whole family to this event since it’s for all ages. The cost is $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents.
- Happy Days Ice Cream Social is taking place on August 22nd at 1 pm at PTCC. You will be able to create your own sundae and then hang around afterwards to play Bingo. If you’d like to attend, you will need to register by August 15th. The cost is $8 for both residents and non-residents.
Lastly, not only can you participate in these fun events, but the PTCC is hosting game days, Wii bowling, pot luck lunches, Bunco, bridge and mahjong/euchre tournaments. If you would like more information, visit the Plainfield Park District website.
