Plainfield kicks off their patriotic celebration before the 4th on July 3rd with the Plainfield Park District’s Patriotic Picnic & Fireworks. This happens July 3rd from 6 pm to 9:30 pm at Plainfield Central High School located at 24120 W Fort Beggs Drive. Check out the schedule of events below:
- 6:00 pm: Raising of the flag and then bike decorating
- 6:30 pm: Kid’s patriotic bike parade along with fun family activities
- 7:00 pm: Park District Dance Camps Performance
- 8:15 pm: Retire the Colors by the Plainfield American Legion
- Fireworks at dark
Don’t forget to bring blankets, lawn chairs, picnic baskets, and coolers! Food and drink will be available to purchase.
