February-April Shorewood Events

There are several upcoming Shorewood events happening including an inflatable jump party, the cardboard classic, a flashlight egg hunt, and much more!

Shorewood Events-February

• Jumpfest: Saturday, Feb. 2nd from 10 am until 4 pm at Walnut Trails School. The cost of the event is $10 cash per jumper and if you are not jumping, you are free. If you are 16 years or older, they are looking for volunteers for this event. If you’d like more information, call 815-741-7710.
• Cardboard Classic: Saturday, Feb. 23rd at 10 am. This event is for all ages at Cene’s Four Seasons Park-Sled Hill. This unique event involves participants creating their own sled out of cardboard and then coming to the hill to race. Pre-registration is required; you can register by calling 815-741-7710.

April Events

• Flashlight Egg Hunt: Friday, April 12th at 8 pm for kids ages 9-13.  This free event requires no registration. Participants should bring flash lights, an Easter basket, and dress warmly.
• Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 13th at 10:30 am for kids ages 3-8. This event is free with no registration required. Don’t forget to bring your cameras for photos with the Easter Bunny!
• Breakfast with the bunny: Saturday, April 13th at 9 am at Troy Fire Station #2. This cute event is for all ages. Prices are $8 for a ‘big breakfast’ with hotcakes or $6 for hotcakes only.  Children under 2 years old are free but breakfast is not included. You can purchase tickets at Village Hall  before April 3rd. Be sure to bring your camera to capture moments with the Easter Bunny.
• Community Garden Open House: Tuesday, April 16th from 6-8 pm at Troy Township Community Center. You will have the chance to listen to guest speaker is Nancy Kuhajda. This event is free but pre-registration is required by calling 815-741-7710.
• Garage Sale Weekend: Finally, the annual village-wide garage sale is set for Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th. If you are interested, fill out your registration online at the Shorewood website by April 19th. You can find an address list of participating garage sales on April 23rd at Village Hall and on their website.
