Spring/Summer Shorewood Events

There are a lot of spring/summer Shorewood events coming up! If you are looking for things to do locally, check out this list!

Spring Events

Shorewood Show and Shine Car Show, Sunday May 20th from 10 am until 3 pm. If you like cars and trucks, head to Cene’s Four Seasons Park! Guests can check out classic and modified cars and trucks! Spectators are FREE,  car registration is $10 and Dash plaques will be given to the first one hundred registrants. A kids coloring contest, music by 3D Sound, and food will be available. Registration happens from 9 am until 11 am, the show starts at 10 and awards will be given out at 2 pm.

Memorial Day Celebration, Monday May 28th at 6 pm. Head to the Veteran’s Memorial in Towne Center Park to celebrate this special holiday with a ceremony to honor our veterans.

Summer Events

Children’s Fishing Derby, Saturday June 2nd at 8 am. Registration begins at 7:30 am and the event will conclude at 10 am. This event is for kids ages 12 and under and all participants must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is preferred and can be done by calling (815) 741-7710.

Party In The Park, Thursdays from June 7th until July 26th. These fun events will feature either a movie or music and will take place at the Towne Center Park band shell starting at 6:30 pm with movies beginning at dusk. Lastly, those interested in these events can check the Village of Shorewood calendar online to see what movies and music will happen each night.

Shorewood Kite Fest, Sunday June 24th from 11 am until 3 pm. This event is FREE and features professional kite flyers, large show kites and sport kites. Participants can either bring their own kite or purchase one at the event.

Cardboard Boat Regatta, Saturday July 21st at 2 pm at Towne Center Park. This event is for families, businesses, neighborhoods and non-profit groups! Prizes will be given out for best theme, most spectacular sink, and fastest time. Boats must be constructed completely out of cardboard and duct tape. National Night Out presented by the Shorewood Police Department, Tuesday, August 7th from 5:30 until 8 pm. This annual event features a moon jump, food and drinks, a taser demonstration, raffles, a station tour and more. Lastly, for more information, call (815) 725-1460.
