There are a lot of fun Shorewood events coming up! Everything from Easter activities to a free event just for Moms are on the horizon.
Easter Happenings
- Flashlight egg hunt: Friday, March 23rd at 8 pm for kids ages 9-13. This event is FREE and NO registration is required. This flashlight hunt will take place at Cene’s Four Seasons Park and participants should bring their flashlights, Easter baskets, and should dress warmly.
- Easter egg hunt: Saturday, March 24th at 10:30 am in Cene’s Four Seasons Park. This event is also free and does not require registration. This event is for kids ages 3-8. Kids should dress warmly and bring their Easter baskets. Parents should bring their cameras as the Easter bunny will be available for photos.
- Breakfast with the Easter bunny: Saturday, March 24th at 9 am at the Troy Fire Station #2. This breakfast is for residents only and tickets must be purchased by Monday, March 19th at Village Hall. Children 2 years and younger are free (breakfast not included), “Big Breakfast” with hotcakes are $8, and hotcake only breakfasts are $6.
Just For Moms
- The second annual Mamapalooza is hapening at Village Hall on Saturday, April 7th from 9 am until 3 pm. This fun and informative event is for both moms and moms to be 18 years and older. This event is free but registration is required (call (815) 741-7710). Experts will be on hand to speak about finances and saving for college, nutrition and exercise for both pregnancy and post-partum, car seat safety and more. Lunch, coffee, and child care will be provided for all attendees.
Community Garage Sale
- Finally, the annual village wide garage sale is set for Friday, April 20th and Saturday April 21st. A limited number of maps will be available at Village Hall, the Shorewood-Troy Public Library, and Troy Township. For more information or for digital maps, check out the Village of Shorewood website.
