Local Fireworks Displays

  • Plainfield has two fireworks displays this year; one is at dusk on July 3rd at Plainfield Central High School and one is on July 1st at dusk at Bruce Ponti Park. Tune into Star 96.7 to listen to music as you watch the display.
  • Aurora: July 4th at dusk at RiverEdge Park located at 360 N. Broadway Street.
  • Yorkville: Fourth of July Celebration on July 4th beginning at 9 am. A parade starting at Yorkville High School will kick the festivities off followed by activities until noon at Yorkville Town Square (301 N. Bridge Street) and finally a fireworks display at dusk also at the Yorkville Town Square.
  • Oswego: Independence Day Fireworks will take place on July 4th at 9:30 pm at Prairie Point Park located at 4120 Plainfield Road. A rain date has been set for July 5th.
  • Romeoville: Independence Day Celebration featuring live music, food and fireworks starts at 6 pm at Deer Crossing Park (1050 W Romeo Road) with fireworks at Village Park (900 W Romeo Road) starting at 9:30 pm.
  • Joliet: Free Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks at Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park (201 W. Jefferson Street at Bluff Street) from 5-10 pm on July 1st with fireworks beginning at dusk. Admission is free with food and drinks available for purchase. This event features live music, brews, and games.
  • Channahon: Independence Day Celebration at Community Park (23304 W. McClintock Road) from 5:30 to 10:30 pm on July 4th with fireworks at 9:15 pm. This fun family event features a “Freedom Parade” with kids, pets and bikes, sand art, foam pit, inflatables, face painting, dodge ball, drinks, live music, and an after fireworks party until 10:30 pm.
  • Naperville: Ribfest fireworks are July 3rd at 9:30 pm at Knoch Park located at 724 S. West Street.
  • Morris: Grundy County Fair fireworks at dusk on July 3rd at the Grundy County Fairgrounds located at 8890 Route 47. Admission to the fair is free but there is a fee for some activities which include eating contests, stock racing, rides, games, livestock demonstrations/judging, Magic Matt’s Family Fun Show and more.
  • Bolingbrook: 4th of July Extravaganza-The All-American Celebration will take place at the Bolingbrook Golf Club (2001 Rodeo Drive) on July 4th at 2 pm with a fireworks display at dusk. Live music including performances by the Gina Glocksen Band and the Blackhawks tenor Jim Cornelison singing the National Anthem and a BBQ buffet (call 630-771-9400 ext. 4008 for reservations).
