The Greater Joliet Area YMCA’s 7th annual Giving Gala is coming back to the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Saturday, Feb. 22nd. The Gala is a black-tie event and supports the YMCA scholarship program which allows families going through difficult financial times to still be a part of the YMCA. The YMCA does not turn anyone away that cannot pay so this event helps to make that possible.
The event begins at 6 pm and kicks off with cocktails and appetizers which guests can enjoy while listening to a jazz combo. Following dinner, the Gold Coast Orchestra will play from 9 pm until midnight. The event also features both live and silent auctions with auction items including Blackhawks tickets, a stay at a vacation home in Cabo San Lucas, dinner for 10 along with wine pairings at Plainfield’s Hopscotch & Vine, a Chicago getaway package, and more. New this year is a cash raffle which guests can enter for $25 in order to win prizes of $500, $1,000 or $1,500.
Tickets to the gala are $150 a person or $1,500 for a table of 10. The ticket price includes dinner, dancing, and an open bar.
