Significant snowfall is expected to hit us this weekend with a Winter Weather Watch in effect on Saturday Feb. 1st at 12 am for Will, Kendall, Du Page, Grundy, Lake, Cook, McHenry, DeKalb, and Boone counties as well as many others throughout Illinois. The watch remains in place until 6 pm on Saturday according to the National Weather Service. Light snow will begin this afternoon and early evening and is expected to get more intense throughout the night, accumulating 6 inches or more in some areas. Other areas have the potential to see ice as well so driving conditions will likely be hazardous. Be careful and enjoy your weekend!
