Have you ever been to the Morton Arboretum? They have a fantastic children’s garden and Ginko Restaurant and they have both recently reopened to the public. Here are the details!
Morton Arboretum Children’s Garden
On August 17th the children’s garden opened up to the public. The hours of operation are noon to 4 pm everyday. The last entry time is 3:30 pm. Visiting the garden is free of charge with the purchase of general admission tickets to the arboretum. Please note that all guests ages 2 and up must wear a mask during their visit. Some exhibits have been removed from the garden that do not allow for social distancing. For your safety, there will be limited capacity at the garden so please be prepared if there is a wait to enter. There will also be sanitation stations.
The Ginko Restaurant is also open for lunch from 11 am until 2 pm Wednesdays through Sundays. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. Masks need to be worn when not seated at a table. Food and beverages are available for purchase every day at the carry-out Ginko Cafe. On Saturdays and Sundays, food and beverages can be purchased at the Arbor Court Concessions.
If you are planning a visit, tickets are $15 for adults 18-64, $13 for seniors age 65 and up, $10 for kids ages 2-17 and kids under age 2 are free. Wednesdays there are reduced ticket prices at $10 for adults 18-64, $9 for seniors, and $7 for kids ages 2-17.
Please note, if you have ever driven by the Arboretum on 88, I’m sure you’ve noticed the giant trolls. The trolls will be around until early 2021 so you still have time to go and see those giant sculptures.
