There are lot’s of fun Plainfield weekend events coming up! There’s a variety of things to do including a pet adoption event, a holiday market and more!

  • Public adoption event hosted by Wagging Hearts at Pets ETC. located at 2304 S. Route 59 in Plainfield from 11 am until 3 pm tomorrow, Saturday December 2nd
  • Holiday Vintage Market hosted by Tortilla Flatz Mexican Grill at the Farmhouse Plainfield located at 12729 Naperville Road in Plainfield. Saturday December 2nd from 11 am until 7 pm and Sunday, December 3rd from 10 am until 4 pm.
  • Create A Card event at the Plainfield Public Library located at 15025 S Illinois Street in Plainfield tomorrow, December 2nd from 2 until 3:30 pm. Head to the library to create a card or write a letter for someone in need.

Plainfield Candlelight Christmas

The Plainfield Candlelight Christmas is on the horizon! This fun family event is always a hit and includes sleigh rides, pictures with Santa, performances and more!

 

~ Plainfield Candlelight Christmas ~

-Saturday, November 25th from 5-9 pm in downtown Plainfield

-This FREE event features many downtown businesses offer entertainment for the public such as sleigh rides, pictures with Santa, crafts, dance performances, letter writing to Santa, as well as a creche lighting. Check out this fun annual event and help Plainfield officially ring in the Christmas season!

Plainfield Spooktacular Event

The Plainfield Spooktacular event is right around the corner! Trick or treating, a petting zoo, free pumpkins and more will be part of this fun event!

  • The Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their annual Plainfield Spooktacular event in downtown Plainfield on Saturday, October 28th from 11 am until 3:30 pm
  • Trick or treating at participating businesses, petting zoo, hayrack rides, free pumpkins, crafts, costume contest, popcorn, raffle, photo booth, and more will be available at this family event
  • The YMCA, located at 15120 Wallin Drive, will be having a Trunk or Treat from 12:30-2:30 that day as well as a haunted house from 1 pm until 2:30 pm
  • Bring your little ones out to enjoy this great Plainfield family event!

There are lot’s of halloween activities to do in and around Plainfield to celebrate the upcoming holiday-there are amusement parks, haunted houses and more!

  • Hayride Of Horror: October 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th from 7-10 pm in Dellwood Park located at 199 E. Woods Drive in Lockport.

Food Truck Friday

Food Truck Friday is coming up on Friday, August 4th from 4:30 pm to 7 pm at Lake Renwick Preserve! This event is free for the whole family. Rogue Curbside Kitchen will be serving sandwiches and more, Carnivale will be serving Latin fusion, and Ugly Truckin Sandwiches will serve a variety of fresh sandwiches. District staff will be available with preserve information, binoculars and field guides.  Take advantage of this cool opportunity to enjoy delicious food and to explore nature.
