Local Events In Plainfield and Shorewood

  • Pirate Party: Happening at the Shorewood Village Hall on Sunday, February 26th from 11 am to 2 pm. This party is for all ages and will include crafts, snacks, and a showing of the movie Pan. The cost is $10 for residents and $15 for non residents and the deadline to register is February 21st.
  • Shorewood Flashlight Egg Hunt: Friday, April 7th at 8 pm at Cene’s Four Seasons Park for kids ages 9-13. This is free and does not require registration.
  • Breakfast with the Bunny: This will take place in Shorewood on Saturday, April 8th at 9 am for kids of all ages. This is for residents only and is free for kids under 2, $8 for kids 5 and under, and $12 for adults. The breakfast will be at Troy Fire Station #2 and will include fun activities, a pancake breakfast, and pictures with the Easter bunny.
  • Shorewood Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 8th at 10:30 am. No registration is required and the event will take place at Cene’s Four Seasons Park. The kids will be divided into 3 groups; group one will go first and will be ages 3-4, group two will go second and will be ages 5-6 and group three will go last and will be ages 7-8.
  • Volunteer Fair at the Plainfield Public Library: March 4th from 10 am until 12 pm. Participants will be able to meet with representatives from 20 local groups including the Plainfield Park District.
  • Who’s Got Talent: March 10th from 6-8 pm at Plainfield South High School. This is for performers ages 10-18 (no bands) and is for both residents and non-residents with no registration fee. Cost of admission is $5 per person, and kids under 2 are free.
  • Tack Swap: March 25th from 10 am until 2 pm at Normantown Equestrian Center in Plainfield. Participants can bring their tack, blankets, clothing and other horse accessories to trade or sell. The cost to reserve an 8 foot table is $20 and it is $10 to bring your own table (8 ft max).  The registration deadline is March 20th.
  • Plainfield Flashlight Egg Hunt: April 7th from 8-9 pm at Clow Stephens. Participants must pre-register as on site registration will not be allowed. Registration deadline is noon on April 6th and the hunt will take place rain or shine. Cost for the event is $6 for residents and $7.50 for non residents.
  • Egg-citing Activities: April 8th from 11 am until 12 pm at Clow Stephens Dog Park. Kids will be able to collect eggs that the Easter bunny left behind and will receive a treat bag at check-in. The Easter bunny will be available from 10 am until 11:30 for photos. This fun event will happen rain or shine.
